Et j’aime à la fureur

A film by André Bonzel

Film_Andre_Poster

Et j’aime à la fureur by French second-film director André Bonzel is a co-production between Slovakia (Artichoke, producer Juraj Krasnohorsky), France (Les Films du Poisson, producer Laetitia Gonzales) and HBO Central Europe. André Bonzel has previously co-directed the Belgian cult mockumentary C’est arrivé près de chez vous (1994, English title Man Bites Dog), together with Rémy Belvaux and Benoît Poelvoorde, three times awarded at Cannes, as well as TIFF and many other festivals around the world.

Et j’aime à la fureur is a documentary drama, on the crossing of fiction and documentary. It is a personal story narrated by the director and entirely constructed out of a collection of more than 200 hours of ancient, mostly 16mm family films, ranging from the early 1900’s until the end of the 20th century, that the director has been privately collecting for over 30 years.
